Creating Original Artwork (with a 21st Century twist)
Starting off using one of today's smartest AI environments, I am able to quickly manipulate and change the image to arrive as close to what i was thinking as possible. At that point iI am able to convert the digital image to mixed media and i jump from the virtual to the complete physical creation.
I have focused on Cloudscapes in a very particular style. After visiting the Vermeer Exhibition in Amsterdam in early 2023, i was drawn not only to his work of course, but that of many of his contemporaries in the way they depicted the landscape coupled in dramatic Cloudscapes.
While Jupiter had indeed been discovered in 1610 by Galileo, the artists of that era clearly didn't have the benefit of NASA close ups of the planet. so the best they could do was to draw a big snowball and call it a day. i wondered what those images might have looked like if they had access to today's imagery? so i set out to at least give it a try.
I hope you like what you see.
I Use a mix of media that produce the effects i am looking for
The Rocket-Ship, is created using Oil Patel, Soft Pastel(chalks), Airbrush and a dash of Acrylic

Use of AI to manipulate, change, modify....
This step produces the seed image that i take to create the canvas/physical piece
Pick various media to complete the transfer from the digital to the physical
I really mix it up here and often find how modern materials and media can interact on a canvas
Produce and Deliver the piece
Original or Print, Framed or Unframed, conventional or new?
